The Australian branch of Ford closes its factories in November this year because he has prepared a limited series model 2016 Ford Falcon XR8 Sprint and 2016 Ford Falcon XR6 Sprint Turbo. On the markets of Australia and New Zealand will be replaced by the Ford Mondeo.
Ford makes so many great cars world wide. Why can we not have some of these here in the USA ? Example, the Ford Ranger p/u, or the Falcon.
The Ranger can’t be imported from Mexico because of a 25% import tariff on *pickup trucks* enacted in the 1980’s. It’s called the, “chicken tax.” The Falcon has the steering wheel on the right side (the image above is wrong, google it) because that’s how they drive in Australia. On the left side of the road. So they’d need to actually build the car in a totally new factory, probably in the USA or Mexico.
