The 2017 Ford Expedition comes as the latest edition of a full-size SUV by Ford Motor Company. According to the latest information from Ford, this model is at a late and advanced stage of development and it should make the debut in 2016.
The 2017 Ford Expedition is going to introduce 8 different trim levels: XLT, XLT EL, Limited, Limited EL, , King Ranch, King Ranch EL, Platinum and Platinum EL.

Exterior-wise, the new Ford Expedition redesign has kept the well-known, conventional SUV look, but it has received certain adjustments in order to look modern and more appealing to the customers. The designers have decided to make the body of lightweight ultrahigh strength boron steel and aluminum in order to reduce weight, hence the overall weight of the car has been reduced by up to 200–300 pounds.
The front part of the 2017 Expedition has been redesigned in a somewhat powerfully aggressive manner. The front bumper, chrome grille and headlights have been reworked. The size of the wheels is no greater than 22”. The vehicle has the feature of opening doors automatically.

The interior of the 2017 Ford Expedition will such an enjoyment to drive as well as ride in. The vehicle seats have been organized in three rows with the accommodating capacity of 8 adult passengers. The seats have been covered with new, comfortable upholstery.

Engine and Specs
Under the hood of 2017 Ford Expedition one should expect better performance – new twin turbo 3,5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine which puts out 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with six-speed transmission, although it was announced and new 10R80 SelectShift intelligent manumatic transmission. According to designation 10, it has ten speed. However, this transmission is still in the development phase.
The power remains to be sent to the rear wheels and all four wheels. Fuel consumption for the rear wheel drive is 16 mpg city and 21 mpg highway. Fuel consumption for the all-wheel drive is 15 mpg city and 20 mpg highway.
In order to reduce consumption, Ford adds an electric motor to the main engine, to get hybrid combination. Unfortunately, not much is known about it.
Price and release date
The 2017 Expedition is still in the process of development and it won’t be released before second half of 2016. When it comes to price, basic model XLT have a starting price of $ 46,225, while the highest EL Platinum trim level have an initial MSRP $ 65.957.
