The Mondeo has been produced since 1992, and has constantly had pretty good sales results. 2016 Ford Mondeo will be available in hatchback, sedan and wagon versions.
Exterior
Although the exterior of the Mondeo hasn’t been much changed in the last few years, this year it may arrive with some innovations. Rumor has it that it will certainly be more stylish than the previous models.
Not that much is known about the vehicle, since all the information are still being kept a secret by the manufacturer. However, the spy photos have revealed some parts.
For example, the grille is noticed to have been slightly modified and the same 17” wheels are retained, only plain, without many details.
Interior
Thanks to sharp eye and quick-on-the-trigger spy photographers, we got a chance to see what is new inside the 2016 Ford Mondeo. Well, at least in test models.
What’s spotted is the new upholstery and some pretty nice details on it. What dominates the cabin are the matte wood trims and special sewing points. The new outline wearing gives it a more upscale feeling with delicate touch surfaces.
Although still not certain, it’s assumed that Blackberry’s QNX infotainment framework will be installed instead of the Microsoft SYNC badge. However, it is likely that the move might be possible in time, since the infotainment framework doesn’t influence testing and the SYNC could be used for accommodation purposes.
The vehicle is also equipped with MyFord Touch system and WiFi entertainment venues, with the ability to connect to 5 different devices simultaneously.
Engine and performance
2016 Ford Mondeo will be using various types of gasoline and diesel engines. The range of petrol engines includes 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine, 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine and a new 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine. The new 1.5-liter engine will replace the 1.6-liter engine.
