Ford is set to release its new 2016 Ford Ka which will be offered either as a sedan or a hatchback. The basic version in most markets is a two-door hatchback, although the vehicle will come in either four (Ford Ka plus) or five doors depending on the market.

The new 2016 Ford Ka will adopt the Ford B platform. The vehicle will come with 14, 15, or 16 inch alloy wheels depending on the trim level. Trim levels are : Studio (basic), Style, Zetec and Titanium. Engine, Specs and Performance
The next generation of Ford Ka 2016 will come with some new powertrains. Credible reports claim that there will be three engines i.e. two gasoline engines and a diesel one. The first engine will be a 1.2 L Duratec 4-cylinder engine that will produce 68 hp and 75 lb-ft of torque. This engine will have a top speed of 99mph and will accelerate form 0-60 mph in around 13 seconds. Its fuel consumption figures are pretty impressive at a combined 58 mpg.
The second gasoline engine will be a 1.0 L 3-cylinder EcoBoost. The engine will have an output of 85hp and 77 lb-ft of torque. The third engine which will consume diesel will be a 1.5 L 4-cylinder Duratorq TDCi which will produce 89 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque. All engines will be mated with a 5-speed manual transmission. The car will be offered in front-wheel drive mode.
Price and release date
The sale of the new 2016 Ford Ka Hatchback and Sedan is expected as early as September 2015. The 2016 Ford Ka hatchback will attract a price tag of about 13,500 for the base trim and $ 17,500 for the top trim. On the other hand, the Sedan base model will go for $ 15,000 while the top trim will attract a $ 19,000 price tag.
Competition
The 2016 Ford ka will face competition from the Nissan Versa, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Toyota Etios.
