2016 Lincoln MKT is a luxury full size sport utility vehicle which is not suitable for everyone, the model exists in the market despite its unimpressive sales for many years, but with current information it has gain customers in the market in particular environments and its operating conditions due to the little modification made in 2013.
Exterior
The exterior style of the new Lincoln MKT 2016 model will remain the same as that of its predecessor but will only differ a little bit due to its fascinating form of its headlights and the striking redesigned front grille.This new grille design will offer the new model an exciting look.
The manufacturer is also planning to still make some modification on the rear part of the vehicle. Engine, Specs and Performance
The 2016 Lincoln model is expected to come with three engine options one with a 3.7 liter V6 engine, the other is the 3.5 liter Eco Boost engine and at the end smallest 2.0 Liter EcoBoost I-4 engine.
The 3.7 liter Ti-VC T engine has capability of providing the new model with the maximum power output of 303 horsepower and a torque of 278 lbs per foot. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission offering the vehicle a mileage of about 17mpg in the city roads and 25 mpg on the highway with the combined mileage of 20 mpg.
On the other hand the 3.5 liter Eco Boost engine is designed to produce a maximum power output of 365 horsepower and a maximum torque of about 350 lbs per foot. This engine is also mated to a six speed automatic transmission offering a maximum mileage of 18 mpg in the city roads and 16 mpg on the highway with the combined mileage of 23 mpg.
The third engine is a 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 that produces 237 hp and 250 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine will be built only in models with front-wheel drive and fuel consumption is 20 city / 28 hwy / 23 combined mpg.
Price and Release date
The exact date of release and the exact price of the 2016 Lincoln MKT is not yet confirmed, but considering the minor modification made the vehicle is believed will be available for sale at the end of 2015.
Starting price (MSRP) of last year’s model is $ 43.210, But when considering the price tag of the new model will be available at a starting price of $46.000 whereas its luxuriant model will be available at around $60.000.
